Annual Scholarship Ceremony in Guéoul

Every year, 12 new first graders are added to our roster. At this important ceremony attended by the whole village, our scholarship recipients are awarded their scholarships. The $100 scholarship pays their school expenses making it possible for their parents to keep them in school. Scholarship ceremonies take place every February.

Annual Fundraising Dinner in Denver

This annual dinner is a lively event with African-themed entertainment, traditional Senegalese food, and a silent auction of hundreds of items from and about Africa! Join us for our next event in May 2011.

Salon Zoe Event

This annual event is so much fun. Schedule reduced-rate salon services with the volunteers from Salon Zoe, eat, drink, and be less hairy, while benefiting our scholarship program. The next Salon Zoe event is scheduled for September, 2011.

House Concerts

Executive Director Judy Beggs opens her home to you and well known folk musicians. Past concerts have been donated by Chuck Pyle, Tom Kimmel and Carla Sciaky. We’ll have another one soon!
